Silent on the edge of nowhere and we’re driving away Trying to marry the tides that fade between night and day I am falling I am failing We are fallen Came back crawling Hear it calling Scaling the wall The wailing The wanting for truth in all Look at my hands and look at my face I tried to forget at twenty-two Look at my heart and fumble the lace there as Time creeps up on you Look at my eyes and the fire inside – I burned -- my embers and stars are loose It isn’t soft and it isn’t safe here Time creeps up on you We’ve found the key of homeless and I’m singing away Without giving up this solace is it finally safe to stay? I am begging But still breathing Heart is beating yet still bleeding Hear it calling Thumping for you The hurting The hunting to devour your youth Look at my hands and look at my face I tried to forget at twenty-two Look at my heart and fumble the lace there as Time creeps up on you

Vivid 04:34
Life, it gets less vivid Stand and deliver your hands Get up and give me your plans Down somewhere deep inside Rides a desperate man How far low did you go this time? To slow solo did you miss my meaning demeaning a creeping less vivid I'm dreaming down to the depths this high Life, it gets less vivid. No sound, so look around The colors fade, there's no light allowed Like faces teeming in a crowd No one sees you or who you've found Dark hearts, break up your art and black hole everything that is your dreams So let go baby and hear it fade

Funktop 03:59
That’s right. I your got number from my number one man He said the time was right to start the plan So come with me and soon you’ll see the sands of Beaches for miles and those promised lands Charge it up Lay it down Hold the cup Spin him round All my life I dreamed the time To see the sights Held close to night There comes a cost To being lost To being found To spinning around And when the tides come to restrain him Find your both afraid and amazing failure's the turn of the phrase to escape him turn into the moon now Charge it up Lay it down Hold the cup Spin him round

Mummified 04:58
Pain, is that your name? I got disdain You got the same it's insane to fight the tides coming a Rain, I hear the drops falling Down to the ground flying tears of an angel down to the sound of mummified tranquil Wane, the moon is now bleeding But restrain, the temperatures biting Gain, like his wallet that flattens an fattens and falls into my lap like Ripples of a media, washing to a sepia Chains, they're grabbing my ankles A stain, from years of the struggle Grain, my faith in the bread on your Brain, a mastermind of trying to open your skull to offer your will to suffer the thrill to solve for the cypher Blame, to place it on silence Shame, it's raging with violence Tame, the bomb that's inside me The same as taking it quietly taking it quietly taking quietly You're taking it quietly So you cover your eyes A gauze-like compromise no longer wise to surprise no longer wise to the lies no longer low to the highs no longer rise to the cause no longer pause at the flaws just tranquil, not thankful? more like neutral? What is truthful? You're an apathy? and you're so happy? Can't you feel the wrapping? Open your eyes, open your eyes, open your eyes, OPEN YOUR EYES! Down to the ground flying tears of an angel down to the sound of mummified tranquil

Five o'clock and it's time to go I hear your heart beating as I close the door Right around now eyes staring down my soul That's when intention stops and I exist no more no more Please don't leave me here till morning I can't wait to tell you that I'm your favorite season The reason I dream The fever in between The sore in the scream you got this you got this Everyone needs someone to love them Everyone needs someone to love cut out now wedding vows tell you how this would sound disallowed sing aloud sing along sing my song cross the lawn against the law to wait so long and be so wrong about love about me about face about taste and the freezing . . . and the freezing . . . hands up hands up hands up Everyone needs someone to love them Everyone needs someone to love

Feelers 03:28
Let me tell you about this heart attack Everybody else is freaking while I lie on my back and I’m Taking in the dreams The break in the seams The blue of the sky and the screams of paper I’ve seen Read and gone wrong and red blood on tong tongue bleeding the bottom rung Rang the verb’s reverb Of dreaming meaning Lost in weeping Constant seeping With no apparent feeling I am all alone No one knows my soul But here I am to break the mold I am made of gold My value is untold Shining brightly at the bottom of a hole

Silently, you stole what was mine Sordidly, the truth denied Guess what I found you a direct line to your bluetooth a hand on your credit line and a memory that's gonna take time Are you writing this down? Take you out and even the score I might even take a little bit more Do you feel it? I got nothing but love let me give you a hand becuase you may not even remember but if you think back and piece it together . . . you got it now? I got nothing but love for you now You know my name You know my name Now you can come clean I gotta go Now We think the same The sinking grains Now Finally, the truth can shine Legally, your soul is mine Eventually, it all takes time I got nothing but love

Sunlight - Tom Purdue (lyrics for The Elixirists 2016) I have something in me I need to set it free Just move me into the sunlight About 80 degrees And I'll feel release Just move me into the sunlight burning brilliantly kiss the star in me Let's set things right I need the sunlight I want the sunlight I crave the sunlight I need to shine bright Thank you, endlessly I can't believe you heard me I'm feeling that sunlight Dreams are breaking free All is energy The time is just about right There a hand grows free now keep an ear on me it's almost time for my sunlight I need the sunlight I want the sunlight I crave the sunlight I need to shine bright

about

From 2007 to 2017, Tom Purdue and Brian Jenson formed a virtual band bridging the gap from Utah to Texas. On January 1, 2018, Brian took his own life and with it the project found its natural ending. These songs encapsulate the majority of the work from that time frame.

about

Tom Purdue Pflugerville, Texas

Back in 1990 all I wanted to do was make industrial, experimental, and dance synth music. I mass produced 2 tapes while living in Utah, played a number of local gigs, and then mostly produced unpublished songs and poetry from that point forward aside from a CD of electronic Christmas music. Former writer/producer for a band called the Elixirists. ... more
